The Diya Assisted living training project began this weekend, Friday evening, June 8th – Sunday evening, June 10th with three adults – Suresh, Ashwin and Tony. A lot of preparation went into it with discussions on ‘rules of the house’, menu planning, time schedules, and a packing checklist.

It was a weekend filled with fun and learning – from stocking up the kitchen to making their own beds to keeping the house clean and planning and preparing meals, playing carrom, piecing puzzles, as well as welcoming and attending guests – it was an action packed weekend! The downside according to our adults with intellectual challenges was ‘No TV’.
A big ‘thank you’ to our staff, Sendhil, Shirley and Rajeshwari for their loving assistance, to all our fundraisers/donors who donated towards the project through the TCS 10k run. We look forward to your continued support.
